City Barn Coffee's brand new Shopify store
City Barn Coffee needed a custom Shopify store to sell their specialty coffee. They needed their online store launched before the end of the year in order to sell their holiday gift baskets (project commenced in late October).
First Steps
City Barn had already created a custom web design using the WebFlow platform, and asked 10xDev to connect their WebFlow site to a new Shopify store. To reduce friction and ensure the project would be maintainable long-term, we decided to migrate the existing design over to Shopify. This meant creating custom sections using Shopify's liquid templating language. We were able to replicate the design with near pixel-perfect precision. Consolidating the sites under Shopify while maintaining the client's design was a huge win for maintainability and future scaling.
Setting Up The Store
10xDev guided City Barn on the logistics of setting up their online store from an administrative perspective. We placed test orders, reviewed business level policies, and ensured that the site was fully compliant from a privacy and legal perspective.
Final Touches
10xDev then worked on technical SEO updates. We ran a keyword analysis through SEMrush, updated the title tags and meta descriptions with targeted keywords to increase click through rate, added on-page targeted content, and then added custom ld+json schemas.
The Results
The site was launched within 4 weeks, just in time for the holiday season. The client was very satisfied with the results, and the site is now fully operational and ready to take orders. City Barn Coffee is now working with 10xDev on a monthly basis through our monthly web services plan. We will continue to provide SEO insights and action items, as well as content and site updates.
